I have only seen a few of these small 4” fish over the years because they are usually observed below 30 feet which is too deep for recreational snorkelling. They are easily startled and quickly dart into small openings. This one is swimming over an area of Blade Fire Coral. Although the surface of the coral looks relatively smooth it is covered with “stinging nematocysts” on the tentacles of tiny polyps.
